One of my favorite ways to play up the contemporary elegance of a space is to finish it with dramatic artwork, it sets everything off without having to bring in too many strong colours into your finishing scheme. Contemporary schemes are characterized by the right balance of neutrals. Local artist Laura Harris has created some of the most stunning suggestive landscapes that I’ve ever seen. Her bold use of colour and thick texture creates her signature style. Many of her pieces are sold as diptychs or triptychs (series of two or three) which only enhances the dramatic effect that have on a space.
